Safety and health

Keeping our people safe and healthy is our single biggest priority. Our goal is to have an injury-free and supportive workplace for everyone at Smiths. Our FY2025 performance was our best in more than ten years, driven by our efforts in preventative action and proactively designing and investing for safety and health.

Every incident has a personal impact and is one too many. That’s why we are on a journey to continuously improve using our Smiths Excellence tools to analyse data, identify patterns and deliver targeted projects that make a difference. Smiths Excellence isn't just a framework - it's a mindset that has reshaped how we operate. It's about empowering every colleague to become a problem solver, an innovator and a contributor to meaningful change using lean six sigma principles.
