Investor days on Smiths Interconnect and Smiths Medical

Smiths Group plc is holding investor presentations over the next two days on its Smiths Interconnect and Smiths Medical businesses.

Smiths Interconnect is today hosting a trip to its TRAK Microwave facility in Tampa, Florida, and Smiths Medical will meet investors and analysts tomorrow at its headquarters in St Paul, Minnesota.  These two divisions represented 43% of 2009 Group sales and almost half of the Group’s headline operating profit.

Both days will involve presentations on the divisional business strategies, describe their growth drivers and include a site tour and product demonstrations.

No new material information will be disclosed in the presentations, nor will there be any update on current trading.

The presentation materials for Smiths Interconnect will be available on www.smiths.com from 13.30 (UK time) on 22 June and the Smiths Medical materials will be available at 14.30 (UK time) on 23 June.  Webcasts of both presentations will be available approximately 48 hours after each presentation takes place.
